around the room stating our purpose for taking the class and any personal goals
you want to share (Any questions comments or concerns before we begin.) I will talk
about each play the scenes are from. I will assign scenes that evening or the
following morning and email you your scene copy, PDF of the entire play, and
contact information. Homework: Please read your play in full before next class.
JUNE 12: Ill ask each pair performing to describe the plot of their play. We will
begin by slowly reading through each scene aloud. At your own pace, concentrating
specifically on breath, speaking on voice, relaxation, and eye contact with your
partner. Homework: Answer the following questions about your character using
lines from your scene. What does my character say about myself? What does my
character say about others? What do others say about my character? Also
provide a list of FACTS (things you know to be true) and anything else that pops out
at you from your scene.

reading through the first of the scenes. I will give a presentation on Guideposts.

class, think about what costume your character would wear or any props you might
need in the scene. Bring those items next time.

and on its feet. Homework: continue memorization.
JULY 24: We will perform each scene off book and on its feet. Homework: If youre

extent of the preparation you wish! Follow your heart on this and you cant go
wrong! I want you to feel proud of what you did!
