The strategic & innovative project within a company is conducted individually or
in pairs, in parallel with the program delivery. The general objectives are to: carry out a project of strategic importance requiring the development of new activities or the launch of a new venture, address situations requiring multidisciplinary competencies associated to innovation and management, foster a team approach in a professional environment, apply the skills previously acquired during the training program, establish strong and appropriate relationships and communications in the real world. Participants who have maintained their professional activities during the training period may carry out the Strategic & Innovative projects within their company, sometimes teaming-up with another program participant. Participants who joined the program with a new venture already in mind may continue to develop their own project. Project work is supervised by a member of the program faculty. At the end, the results of the project are presented in a written report and defended orally before a jury. Guidance to demonstrate your project is innovative We'll consider an idea as being innovative if it hasn't been tried elsewhere in the UK before. Whilst we received a lot of applications last year we were unable to i nvite many to the second stage of the process. This was because many applicants did not provide enough evidence to show that what they wanted to do hadn't been tried before. So when you're dev eloping your application you'll need to think carefully about the evidence you ha ve that shows your idea is truly innovative. Here's the kind of evidence we're looking for: Details of the research and investigation you've carried out to show that y our idea hasn't been tried previously in the UK, for example: o Internet and literature searches. o Consultation with academic institutions, experts, policy makers, stakeholders and organizations working in the same field. o Research into relevant thematic, local, national or regional strategi es. Information on existing activities or services to show how your project will fill specific gaps or compliment what's already being provided. Details of what others have done previously to tackle the problem you ha ve identified, including why these approaches haven't worked and how thi s has informed your plans. If no one has yet tried to address the problem or use the approach you're proposing, details of the reasons why this may be and any barriers that m ay exist. Details of any research, surveys or consultation you have done to find out what other organizations are planning to address the problem you have identified an d how this has informed your plans. This list isn't exhaustive and there may be other ways you can show that what y ou want to do is innovative. Sample FORM.- you must investigate the market, requirements and strategies before decide.
