Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,

Es muy grato hacerles llegar el cuarto número del Boletín de Proyectos y Actividades
Tecnológicas. En estos cuatro meses de bendiciones hacemos un reporte de lo
acontecido:

- Desde este mes el Boletín estrena un nuevo estilo con HTML que facilita la navegación
y la lectura
- Nuestro sitio web, http://fit.um.edu.mx/interamericanit/, ha recibido un gran número
de visitantes provenientes de 10 países
- Casi 1,500 personas en nuestra lista de correos reciben mensualmente este Boletín
- Más y más estudiantes, directores de departamentos tecnológicos, pastores,
administradores de la iglesia, profesores y demás personas involucradas con tecnologías
de la información se están vinculando en este mega proyecto

Ha llegado la hora de unirnos para trabajar juntos en la proclamación del evangelio

utilizando tecnologías de la información. Compartamos una visión en común,
conocimiento y herramientas.

Les dejo una tarea: Por favor lean el capítulo 86 de El Deseado de Todas las Gentes,
titulado "Id, Adoctrinad a Todas las Naciones" y aplíquenlo a su labor como trabajadores
en el área de tecnologías de la información. Escribí un corto reporte técnico con esta
comparación que pueden descargar aquí: COMP-001-2008 Go Teach the Nations.pdf
(en inglés). Pregúntese, ¿estoy siguiendo la orden que Jesús nos dejó de ir y predicar?
¿Qué estoy haciendo con mis conocimientos en tecnología para predicar el evangelio?

Actitud y Aptitud del Docente de Programación y Su Relación con el

Aprovechamiento Teórico y Práctico en Alumnos de Instituciones Adventistas de
Pregrado

El profesor Jair del Valle, Coordinador en la Facultad de Ingeniería y Tecnología de la

Universidad de Montemorelos, México, tiene a su disposición su tesis de maestría
titulada: Actitud y Aptitud del Docente de Programación y Su Relación con el
Aprovechamiento Teórico y Práctico en Alumnos de Instituciones Adventistas de
Pregrado.

En este estudio se determinó la relación entre la actitud y aptitud del docente con
respecto al aprovechamiento académico teórico y práctico de los alumnos en
instituciones adventistas de nivel superior que imparten la materia de programación
básica.

Utilizan Internet Para Predicar

Como parte del informe de la División Inter-Americana, el profesor Abel Márquez

presentó los esfuerzos de comunicación de la Universidad de Montemorelos, México en
el Foro de Evangelismo Global por Internet (Global Internet Evangelism Network, mejor
conocido como GIEN). Ver toda la información aquí.

Juventud Mexicana es Capacitada en Multimedia Para Añadir Contenido a Sitios

Web de la iglesia

Líderes de comunicación de la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día capacitaron a cerca de

130 jóvenes de la iglesia para producir nuevos artículos y vídeos para Internet en talleres
de un día por todo el sur de México. Ver toda la información aquí.

¡Estudie una Excitante Maestría en Ciencias Computacionales en la Universidad de

Montemorelos!

El plan de estudios de la Maestría en Ciencias Computacionales en la Universidad de

Montemorelos, México, está diseñado para que el alumno lo pueda terminar en cuatro
semestres, incluida la realización de su proyecto de tesis. El programa está diseñado
para ofrecer tres acentuaciones diferentes: Tecnología Multimedia, Ingeniería de
Software, y Redes Informáticas.

Cuarto Simposio de Tecnología y Primer Congreso Internacional Adventista de

Tecnología

La Facultad de Ingeniería y Tecnología, Universidad de Montemorelos, México, está

organizando el Cuarto Simposio de Tecnología del 24 al 26 de Noviembre de 2008 y el
Primer Congreso Internacional Adventista de Tecnología del 27 al 29 de Noviembre de
2008.

Se esperan alrededor de 500 participantes de varias universidades.

Michael A. Comberiate, administrador de proyectos de la NASA, Goddard Space Flight

Center, será uno de los expositores.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

It is very gratifying to send you the fourth issue of the Bulletin of Technology Projects and
Activities. This is our report during the first four months of blessings:

- Beginning this month the Bulletin has a new look with HTML that facilitates navigation
and reading
- Our website, http://fit.um.edu.mx/interamericanit/, has received a large number of
visitors from 10 countries
- Nearly 1,500 people on our mailing list receive this monthly newsletter
- More and more students, heads of IT departments, pastors, church administrators,
teachers and others are joining this mega project

It is time to get together to work in the proclamation of the gospel using information
technology. Let´s share a common vision, knowledge, and tools.

I have a homework for you: Please read chapter 86 of the Desire of Ages entitled "Go
Teach the Nations" and apply it to your IT jobs. I wrote a short technical report with this
comparison that can be downloaded here:COMP-001-2008 Go Teach the Nations.pdf.
Ask yourself, am I following Jesus' order to preach others? What am I doing with my
technological knowledge to preach the gospel?

Attitude and Aptitude of Teaching Programming and Its Relationship with

Theoretical and Practical Achievements of Students at Adventist Undergraduate
Institutions

Mr. Jair del Valle, Coordinator at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology,
Montemorelos University, Mexico, has at its disposal his master's thesis entitled: Attitude
and Aptitude of Teaching Programming and Its Relationship with Theoretical and
Practical Achievements of Students at Adventist Undergraduate Institutions.

This research determined the relationship between teachers' attitude and aptitude with
theoretical and practical academic achievements of students in Adventist higher education
institutions which teach basic programming.

Mexican Youth Trained in Multimedia for Adding Content to Church Websites

Seventh-day Adventist Church communication leaders trained nearly 130 of the church's
young people to produce news articles and videos for the Web in a series of one-day
workshops across Southern Mexico. See all the information here.

Study an Exciting Master in Computer Science at Montemorelos University!

The curriculum of the Master of Computer Science at Montemorelos University, Mexico, is

designed to let students complete it in four semesters, including thesis. The program
provides three different
majors: Multimedia Technology, Software Engineering and Computer Networks.

Fourth Symposium on Technology and First Adventist International Conference of

Technology

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Montemorelos University, Mexico, is

organizing the Fourth Symposium on Technology on November 24-26, 2008 and the First
Adventist International Conference of Technology on November 27-29, 2008.

500 participants are expected to come from various universities.

Michael A. Comberiate, Project Manager at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center will be

one of the speakers.

Mexico. In its moment, it is going to be formally presented to the Education Department of the Inter-American Division. For the
meanwhile, Montemorelos University has the unique and exclusive responsibility for publishing research projects and technology news.

The intention with our bulletin is to invite other higher education institutions in our Inter-American Division to join efforts in the
development of information technologies in our territory. Please send
