Collaboration & Self Assessment

Teachers and schools that engage in instructional collaboration have better overall student achievement. Moreover, teachers improve at greater rates when they work in schools with environments that support teaching, learning, research, compromise, respect, reliability, risk-taking, hard work and fun!

  • I am always open to collaboration. Two heads are often better than one. I am easily inspired, and thrive off creative dialogue with colleagues. I would be cautious when

collaborating with someone who openly does not want my help yet my door is always open.

A successful collaboration includes two or more people working together toward a common goal. Effective communication is required to keep the collaboration going. In a networked world, we rely heavily on digital media. Educators today should seek collaborative digital solutions to further enhance their social and emotional learning environment.

  • I enjoy working with colleagues who think differently than myself. I’m a hard worker, intelligent, polite, kind, motivated, flexible and of course modest. :-)
