It is with great pleasure and my highest recommendation that I write this letter for Angelina Torres
for a Lead Teacher position in Early Childhood Education. I have gotten to know Ms. Torres
professionally for over a year through the My Teaching Partner program. As her coach, I have seen
her potential and growth throughout the year. Angelina has a great foundation of knowledge in
ECE because she has been in the preschool field for over 8 years. She is also bilingual in Spanish. I
have seen her interact with other staff, parents, and students and she is an absolute joy to work
with. Early education needs more educators like Ms. Torres
I am always impressed with Ms. Torres commitment to go above and beyond to be a better
educator. She is reflective in her practices. This year, we have been using the CLASS tool to
increase interactions between students and teachers and she demonstrates growth and
comprehension using the tool. She also has experience with ECERS. In the fall, we set up her
classroom. Her environment reflected her knowledge of how to implement and apply the tool to
offer the most optimal learning environment for her students. I admire her ability to learn easily.
She is also familiar with Frog Street curriculum, DRDPs, and CA Preschool Foundations. She can
easily link how all of these resources work together. Angelina is also currently enrolled in Fresno
Pacific University, where she will earn her BA. Her dedication to being the best inspiring to many.
Not only is Angelina knowledgeable in many areas of ECE, one of her biggest strengths is her
leadership abilities to work with everyone. She is a strong not only because of her ability to lead,
but also she has the ability to listen. She is genuine in creating relationships with families,
coworkers, and kids. She is easy to get along with. Her sensitivity in the classroom is always high.
She is aware of the childrens individual needs and makes adjustments as necessary. She is also
consistent in keeping calm with the children and creating safe places for them. I have seen her
model social-emotional skills with the students. She gets down on their level and helps the
children problem solve on their own. I know her behavior management skills have given children
important strategies they will use their entire life. I am so happy to see how impactful she is as a
teacher. She also challenges the children to learn in a different light by engaging in conversations
and open-ended questions with them. I highly recommend you make her an addition of your team.
