The exam was created from the three textbooks, Power Point
presentations, notes, home works, and previous tests.
Vocabulary:
Abiotic factor- nonliving things like temperature, sunlight, water, and oxygen
Primary succession- starting from new like Hawaii that has lava flow (no surviving roots/plants or new
land) that will eventually become a community of plants and animals.
Photosysnthesis (products and reactants) Products are what goes in- CO2 + H2O +sunlight
Inertia- tendency of object to resist change; ball sitting on a field will not move until force acts upon it
Momentum- Law of conservation states the total amount of momentum in a system of objects
remains the same after the object interact. Total moment before = total momentum after
Balanced forces (include an example) soccer ball sitting on a field has balanced forces (gravity and
ground pushing up). Car moving at constant speed and direction (straight line) or car at rest
Net force is greater than 0 N like ball after its kicked, car slowing down or changing direction of
motion
Law of conservation of momentum- Law of conservation states the total amount of momentum in a
system of objects remains the same after the object interact. Total moment before = total momentum
after
Physical properties- like volume, density, boiling point, and color Water is clear, boils at 100 degrees
Celcius, has density of 1g/mL
Symbiosis-
