Lifeguard Pool and Waterfront


Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of swimmers and beach goers both at the pool location and
at the Meanans Cove location in the summer. This included observation of swimmers, providing
direction and enforcing rules, interacting with swimmers, the public, beach attendees and other
professionals, administering first aid, making water rescues when required, documentation and
numerous other responsibilities.
Swimming Instructor
Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans for each class adapting teaching methods and materials
to meet the needs of each individual student, implementing lesson plans, evaluating performance,
documentation and interacting with various parents and guardians.
Camp Counsellor
Responsibilities included implementing and supervising day camp recreational activities for children
ages 6-12, and ensuring the health, well-being and happiness of each camper.

Fredericton Boys and Girls Club 09/13-Present


After School Program Leader
Responsibilities include planning, scheduling and supervising after school activities including daily
crafts, sports and homework for 24 children age 6 12. Responsibilities also include daily verbal
reports to parents and documentation as required.
Summer Camp Program Leader
Responsibilities included developing a weekly activity schedule, and implementing and supervising the
various activities for children ages 6-12, and ensuring the health, well-being and happiness of each
camper. This position differs from the Canada Games Aquatic Center in that one of the responsibilities
was to actually develop the weekly and daily schedule for the campers, and there was much more
interaction with parents on a daily basis.
Breakfast of Canada Program Supervisor
Responsibilities include coordinating, preparing and serving breakfast to 15-20 youth at risk five
mornings a week before school, as well as creating a happy safe environment and attending to the
needs of each individual child. Responsibilities also include training and supervising volunteers

Responsibilities include overseeing all pool operations, supervising aquatic staff and providing
leadership in all emergent and non-emergent situations
