Dear Mr. Elkann,

In pursuit of my dream to work in the automotive industry, I am applying for the Ferrari Engineering
Internship position (Offer Ref. 151127FI). I came to know of this internship by following Ferrari on its
social media account on Linkedin. I am currently a Mechanical Engineering sophomore at Texas A&M
University at Qatar, and I believe I can carry out the responsibilities associated with this position
through team work and innovation as valued by Ferrari.

As a petrol head myself, I highly commend the values of teamwork and innovation held by Ferrari.
Consequently, I think my technical skills can be put to their best use where there are people who
share these values. Presently, I am working as a Community Development Advisor (CDA) on campus.
This position has given me insight into how to work in a community filled with people of different
cultural and religious backgrounds. Having been born and raised in Qatar`s multicultural society, I
have an open-minded and compatible mindset. In other words, I can easily and quickly adapt to
changes in my working environment, be they religious or cultural. I am also part of the Student
Engineer`s Council in Texas A&M at Qatar where I help organize and execute events for students on
campus. The genre of the events can vary from being small social gatherings to a large campus wide
event such as a scavenger hunt. It is through these experiences that I have learned to accept criticism
and work with people who might have completely different interests compared to mine.

Although leadership and team working skills are important in any industry, it is vital to have the
technical skills that allow one to apply innovation in real life. I have firsthand experience in MATLAB,
Robot C, SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications, all of which I have used in various projects
and project management at Texas A&M. Examples of projects include programming a game on
MATLAB, and designing and coding a Lego robot using Robot C in my freshman year Foundations of
Engineering course, ENGR-111. My skills in CAD software will help me to design and test prototypes
whereas my skills in programming could be used to test and develop computerized equipment used
in cars manufactured by Ferrari today. Integrating these skills, I can work as an independent
innovator. In other words, in addition to working well in a team, I can take initiative and work on
tasks independently.

I would like to thank you for reviewing my application. If you have any further inquiries, please
contact me on my mobile number (+974 77340977) or send me an email at
hassan.haider@qatar.tamu.edu. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Hassan Ejaz Haider
