Position Compliance Officer
Duties and responsibilities;
Evaluate companys internal controls, processes, policies and procedures to ensure that they
are adequate, effective and in compliance with regulatory principles, Banking standards and
corporate guidelines.
Redrafting of a compliance and charter/policy, program and evaluation Policy and procedure
manuals for Equity bank. Policy and procedure manuals were prepared encompassing the
requirements of CBK requirements on compliance.
Assist in investigations of fraudulent cases, analyzing the case and advising on weakness on
the process.
Reviewing of loan applications to ensure they adhere to laid down requirement,
policies and procedures.
Establishing compliance programs and tool kits to guide the bank in assessing
compliance levels in branches and all business units.
