Emissions produced by natural gas are much lower than that of coil and oil.
However the smoke of gases burned in todays vehicles highly affect our
climate, especially its heat-trapping ability. Natural gas confines heat in the
atmosphere and therefore contributing to the greenhouse effect. Natural
gas also contains carbon and can also create carbon pollution. Its emissions
can result to acid rain and smog which can damage forests, crops, and plant
fields. Gas development is a risk to nearby communities through
contamination in drinking water and is also dangerous to health when
inhaled.

Security of Supply

Natural gas is an important source of energy in most countries
and regarding their economies, thats why it is crucial that we
need a constant supply of this fossil fuel. The Potential Gas
Committee has estimated rising domestic supply in each of its
past few reports. There is an available future supply of gas
reserves that would equal to about 100 years of resource.
Natural gases are non-renewable because once we use up all
of these gases, it will take thousands or millions of years for it
to form once again. There is a limit to the amount and usage of
natural gases, this is why we have to utilize it wisely.
Exploration and production companies explored and drilled for
natural gas, selling their product at the wellhead to large
transportation pipelines. These pipelines transported the
natural gas, selling it to local distribution utilities, who in turn
distributed and sold that gas to its customers. The price of
natural gas is dependent on supply and demand
interactions. When demand for gas is rising, and prices rise
accordingly, producers will respond by increasing their
exploration and production capabilities. As a consequence,
production will over time tend to increase to match the
stronger demand.
