MYNIC is the sole administrator for web addresses that end with .my in Malaysia. As
the national level domain name, MYNIC provides Malaysian organization and
individuals their unique brand identity on the Internet. We register a wide range of
domain names i.e. .my, .com.my, .org.my, .net.my, .edu.my, .gov.my, .mil.my
and .name.my.
In addition, MYNIC holds the responsibility of developing top level domain policies
and is always in the forefront of domain name technologies, carrying out research

MYNIC Berhad (MYNIC) respects your right to personal data protection and privacy.
This document (Policy) explains MYNICs privacy policy, prepared and

implemented in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act),
including all its modification thereto.
This Policy applies to all personal data collected by MYNIC in rendering MYNICs
services such as the registration of .my domain names, the usage of any of MYNICs
platform Services, the purchase of MYNICs products and any other services that
MYNIC may render from time to time. Personal data means any information
relating to an identifiable individual which is collected and further processed by
MYNIC in order to provide MYNICs services. Examples of personal data are names,
addresses, contact details, etc.
Unless stated otherwise, the personal data required is obligatory to be provided by you.
Should you fail to provide such obligatory personal data, MYNIC will be unable to
process your request for services and/or assist you in providing the service(s) you
requested.

MYNIC may also use your personal data to inform you of updates from MYNIC
which may include price promotions, new services or products, customer satisfaction
surveys, etc.
MYNIC collects personal data directly from you and/or from MYNICs appointed
resellers, third parties, any web services, purchase, interaction or any other activities
that you may have conducted with MYNIC.
MYNIC may disclose your personal data to our duly appointed business partners that
assist MYNIC to provide you with MYNIC services such as:

MYNIC will ensure that any appointed business partners shall only use and process
your personal data for the purpose(s) it was collected for and by MYNIC, and adopt
appropriate technical and organisational security measures when processing your
personal data.
MYNIC also operates a WHOIS service which provides users of the WHOIS service
the ability to verify the details of a .my domain name registration and who it is
registered to. For more information as to the WHOIS service, please go
to http://whois.mynic.my.
Other than for the above purposes and for such other purposes as may be required by
law, MYNIC will not disclose, sell, trade or rent your personal information to any
other third party unless your prior consent has been obtained.
MYNIC is committed to processing your personal data within the ambit of the Act.
Subject to the provisions of the Act, you have the right to access your personal data
and/or correct your personal data with MYNIC should you believe the personal data
provided to MYNIC is incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete. Should you wish to access
and/or correct your personal data retained by MYNIC, kindly contact MYNIC
at customercare@mynic.my.
Right of Review
MYNIC reserves the right to review and amend this Policy from time to time.
MYNIC is the only body that administers the .my top level country domain name for
Malaysia. Therefore, anyone who wants to register this .my domain name can do so
only with MYNIC

How do you go about registering .my domain names?
Domain name applications for .edu.my, .gov.my and .mil.my have to be submitted
online via MYNIC's online system. Applications submitted via e-mail will not be
entertained.
Applications for .com.my, .net.my and .org.my and .name.my domain names are to be
done through MYNIC's officially appointed partners, called Resellers. Please

Agreement for Registration of Domain Names
This is a crucial document. When you submit the Domain Name Registration
Form to MYNIC, you are confirming that you have read, understood and
accepted all the terms and conditions in this agreement.
This is where you get the latest information and news on domains and the registration
process. You are advised to update yourself before submitting your registration form.

Registration form will receive e-mail notification from MYNIC when
the registration is completed.

You may register for .edu.my, .gov.my and .mil.my domain names using only the
online Register New Domain Name form.
Please make sure that you fill in all information accurately. Any form filled in
incorrectly or inadequately could cause your application to be rejected, and you will
then have to submit a new application.
You are responsible for the accuracy of ALL the information you state in your
application form. MYNIC reserves the right to revoke the domain name at any time
without prior written notice to you should MYNIC find any of the information
supplied in the form to be incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate.
Please take note that all information provided will be made publicly available through
the MYNIC Whois Service.
Domain name application forms are processed by MYNIC every working day of the
week. Domain names are registered on a 'first come, first served' basis. However,
please note that submission of application does not guarantee registration.
Once you have submitted your application form, your Administrative, Technical and
Billing Contact will receive an immediate acknowledgement e-mail notice from
MYNIC of the submission of your application. Note that only the Contact Persons

listed in your application form will receive e-mail notification from MYNIC when the
registration is completed.
You must furnish your supporting documents to MYNIC within 14 days from the
submission date.
If your application is rejected, your rejection notice will come with a reason why it
was rejected. If you want to apply again, you must go through the whole registration
process from the start. Check out the FAQ for the most common reasons why
applications are rejected.
Your domain name will be registered after MYNIC has received and checked the
application and relevant supporting documents.
Successful Registrants will be invoiced. You must pay all required fees to ensure your
domain name remains registered with MYNIC.
