CONFERENCE
October, 2016
Lahore Business School organised its first international
conference themed International Conference on
Business and Management Perspectives in Asian
context: Challenges and Prospects.

It was a three day event which started on 20th October

and continued till 22nd October, 2016. The Event was a
huge success and was attended by members of more
than 10 nationalities including US, Canada, UK and
China.

New Library of
Lahore Business School
Lahore Business School has recently launched its new
Library exclusively for catering to the needs of LBS
Students.
The library has recently acquired a collection of more
than 8,000 books (totalling 16,000) to aid the students
in learning and research.
My Brand Pakistan was an event, in which students of
Business Communication as well as Skill Development
Workshop were to go to market and do the following:
1. Find a product that was Pakistan made
2. Customize it according to their customers at the
university
3. Market it (make flyers, banners) and then sell in the
university earning profit as well as managing the
stalls, dealing with the customers professionally,
making and changing deals and strategically planning
to bring more customers in.
Case Study Competitions are a great way to enhance
ones critical thinking skills. Entrepreneurs Society
organized a well-managed case study competition on
21st Dec 2016, to inculcate empirical thinking skills in the
students of all universities.
The competition was solicited by Honorable Chief Guest
Dean LBS Dr. Ijaz Qureshi, Prof. Ali Sajid, Mr Adil Qamar
Noor and Miss Maryam Moalla and judged by Prof Ali
Sajid, Ms Mamoona Islam, Ms Fauzia Ahsan.
SOFT SKILLS TRAINING
WEEK FOR FALL-2016 INTAKE
21-25 November, 2016
Lahore Business School is recognized for creating
opportunities and organizing events that are helpful for
personal grooming & motivation for everyone. In this
context we organized a Soft Skill Development Program
for a whole week, in which various faculty members of
LBS were there to guide and train the students.

LBS FIRST INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR

UNIVERSITY OF KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
September, 2016
Career Management Cell organised LBS first International Tour. The month long trip was hosted by University of Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia. The course taught during the trip was Mandarin and Malaysian Culture.
Students had an enlightening experience studying in an international and multicultural environment.

ON-CAMPUS RECRUITMENT
DRIVE BY CARE FOUNDATION
October, 2016
Members of CARE Foundation held an on-campus recruitment drive for their Voluntary Internship Program and Jobs.
This initiative has helped both organisations in achieving their goals of student support and career development.

Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC-LBS) hosted a seminar on Motivation presented by the team of Freightix on 2nd
November, 2016. The seminar was attended by the students of LBS and CS Department.

IIC, LBS conducted a training session on marketing

on 28th December, 2016 presented by Mr. Waqar-ul-
Qayyum, LBS Faculty Member. The training session was
