At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:

1. Preparatory Activities

1.1 Drill on beginning and ending sound of /f/

1.2 Review the story entitled Fanny and the Fireflies

Ask these questions

a. Who is the character in the story?
b. What did she do when the lights are out?
c. What is the beginning sounds of these words? Firefly, Fanny
2. Presentation :

2.1 Present pictures which begin and end with /f/ sound

Fely sleeps in the Fely prepares milk

bedroom in the kitchen

Ask these questions:

- Where is Fely sleeping? (bedroom)
- Where does Fely prepare the milk?

2.2 Present pictures of different places to the pupils

- Ask the pupils to name the pictures

 Discussion :

- Look at these pictures

- What can you see in the pictures?
(School, library room, comfort room, playground, chapel)
- What do you call these words? (Names of places)
- Call the pupils to use these words in sentences

3. Independent Practice
Show another pictures and ask pupils to say something about these.

4. Generalization
Ask these to the pupils:
- Who can give examples of names of places?
- Who can use these in a sentence?

5. Application: Pinoy Henyo

Ask one pupil to come in front and place a strip on his forehead where name
of a place is written. His classmates will give a clue. Then he will guess what is
the word.
Another group of pupils to give words which are names of places familiar to
them and other group will use these in a sentences.

Direction: Name the pictures below. Use these names of places in

sentences.
