Summary:

The video that was shown to us is about the top six problem of climate change which is the
following:

(1) The climate is changing unexpectedly.

(2) It is difficult to trust what you hear

(3) The future is uncertain

(4) The entire solar system is changing

(5) The sun may di-state our future

(6) Humans are messing with the weather.

These problems are mostly because of the doings of the human to the environment. Pollution is the
number one human activity that affects the climate of our earth, pollution by the big industries and new
technology. It was also shown in the video that the government falsify documents about climate change
because some of the government officials are being paid by these big industries who used the scarce
resources of our planet and polluting our environment. The consequence of climate change are
unexpected natural calamities like strong typhoon.

My Reaction:

Climate change will never be a simple problem. The video serves as an eye-opener on what does
climate change do to us and to our environment. The government should do some procedures in these
kind of problem and they should let the public know about the current status or situation of our planet.
The government officials around the world should always consider environmental problem such as
climate change as their priority.

The video that was shown to us by group two is about the climate change, its effect and how
can we help to slow it down. It was defined in the video that climate change is the substantial change in
the weather. Climate change happens because of these factors: (a) oil, gas and coal used by industries,
(b) deforestation, (c) polluted ocean, (d) dirty snow, and (e) not recycling. All of these factors are action
done by humans. The consequence of these actions are hunger and homelessness of not only humans
but also animals.

My Reaction:

Some animals are endangered because they cant cope to the weather that changes
unexpectedly and also because their habitats are being destroyed by the environment because of the
unexpected weather that was cause by humans. Humans should help in preserving or protecting the
world and they should stop contributing on the problem. Big firms should always prioritize the
environmental effect of their actions to the environment. We cant stop climate change but we can slow
it down.
Summary

The video that was shown to us by group four is about cutting carbon emission. Climate change
occurs because of high carbon emission. The source of carbon emission could be both from natural and
human sources. But carbon emissions raises extensively high because of factories and new technologies
since Industrial Revolution. Combustion of oils, coal and gas and also deforestation are great examples
of it. The consequence of this is the sudden change of climate which may cause unexpected natural
calamities like strong typhoon that can cause flood which can cause increase in death toll rate of human
that died in flood.

My Reaction

The extensive increase of carbon emission was cause by humans. Humans are responsible on
the current happenings in our planet. Cutting carbon emission will not only benefit us people in present
time but it would also benefit the future generation.

Summary

The video that was shown to us by group five is the current effects of climate change to our
country which is the Philippines. It was discussed that La Nina and El Nina occur because of climate
change. The strong typhoons that hits our country was also because of climate change. LGUs and NGOs
should propose project that can help in protecting and preserving our environment.

My Reaction

Climate change should not be taken very lightly. It actually shook me because these
catastrophes and abnormalities of the weather we are experiencing was because of our own doings. We
should take of our environment to slow down the effects of climate change. If we could start by simple
actions like throwing your trash in garbage and not throwing it or polluting it anywhere we could slow
down the effect of it.
