Mechanical Properties: Heavy Hex Nut: ASTM A563 Grade C, C3, D, DH or DH3 (ASTM
A194 2H is also acceptable).
Structural Washer: ASTM F436, Type I; 38-45 HRC.
Thread Requirements: Heavy Hex Structural Bolt: ASME B1.1 UNC Class 2A
Heavy Hex Nut: ASME B1.1 UNC & UNF, or UN8 Class 2B

Marking: Heavy Hex Structural Bolt: A325 and manufacturer ID.

Heavy Hex Nut: Manufacturer ID and Grade as appropriate to
mechanical properties noted above per ASTM A563 or ASTM A194.
Structural Washer: Manufacturer ID
Finish: Light Protective Oil
Material Test Reports: The MTR must have documented lot traceability, dimensional
results, full chemical test results and full mechanical test results
to the specification(s) above. In addition, the MTR shall be in full
compliance with Fastenals MTR Requirements.
