Tuesday Chapel week 2

Chapel Reflection week 2

I was a bit late to come to the service, and ended up not getting any seat. I came in the

middle of the song before the get the collection. I noticed that only the lower level seats had to

give their collection, and not the upper level of grand chapel that was filled with the students.

From that I knew that I was not supposed to sit in the lower level like what I did the previous

week, a lesson learned. Again the choice of songs that they picked wasnt as familiar, and in

my opinion it seems like only the worship leaders were singing, or maybe its just me.

Rev. Albert Mitchell Moore was the preacher for this service, and I can tell from his

gesture that he is comfortable in sharing in front of more than 2000 people in the service. I

wasnt able to really listen to what he got to say, because to be honest I was very sleepy but I

really tried to listen to what he was preaching about. He began with saying that he is going to

do the Colossians book this semester. He pointed out 3 main points; the first was Kingdom

work takes everyone, second was Kingdom work increases everywhere, and lastly

Kingdom work involved whole God. In the first point, he used the example of a cowboy he

met back in Texas during the holidays, I personally think that the example he used was a good

one, he quoted the cowboy saying sheep wonders away and got lost until someone comes to

lead them, and were the same, human wonders around and got lost into sin, we need

someone to send cowboy Jesus to keep us back right on track. After saying those points, he

pointed out the UPH Spiritual Formation goal for this year for which all member of the UPH

community shall Gather, Feed and Lead. During that time I thought the service was a bit

drifted from its main point. Instead of sharing his experience to glorify God like what he did a

few minutes before, he sounded like he was lecturing the whole Grand Chapel.

But even if I had to wake up early every Tuesdays when I was supposed to go to

campus at noon, it was still a privilege and a good experience to hear what people got to say

and share about His Kingdom. I am looking forward for the other 8 sessions of chapel that I

have to attend every Tuesday.
