NHS Services in North Surrey and across the country are in jeopardy. The
Shepperton Medical Practice has been struggling with NHS Property Services.
The Blanche Heriot Unit at St Peters Hospital is under threat of closure. The
ADHD childrens neurological service at Ashford Hospital is in the midst of a
recommissioning process, with no guarantees that it will be available beyond
September. And St Heliers Hospital at Carshalton has been on the closure list
for a few years now. These are all consequences of a deliberate, long-term plan
by government ministers and advisors to SELL OFF our beloved NHS to the
private sector. This film gives a fascinating insight into the current situation
from the perspective of doctors, nurses and senior health care professionals.
The governments Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) are the latest
attempt to cut, close and privatise our services. Our NHS is 69 years old this
year. After watching this film you will wonder whether she will reach her 70th
birthday. Aneurin Bevan, the founding father of the NHS said:
The NHS will last as long as there are folk left with faith to fight for it
We invite you to come and watch this film and then to join with us in
making sure that we do indeed fight to save it
