make them think outside of their comfort zone and
make interesting creative choices. The story will be
approximately half a page. After they write their

Before you submit, delete the explanatory text (the text in small italics).
Using the mobile app Homer children in the class
will split up into groups of 2-3 and choose one
short story from the app to read together. After
finishing the story, they will answer a series of
questions posted on the board or on an assignment
sheet. These questions will include Who was the
main character?, What was the story about?,
How did you think it would end? and What was
the most important part? After they answer all of
the questions, they will present a short
presentation to the rest of the class about what
they learned.
