The movie entitled Ded na si Lolo is a movie that show many realistic scenario of

life. The traditional way of funeral of the Filipinos. The belief and sayings that can see

be seen and tell in the movie that can get and use in daily lives. In addition, it gives

lesson to the audience itself. The movie allows the viewers to see the different

perspective of the characters and how is the movie go through.

The movie talks about how a family become oriented and responsible when it

comes to problem they go through. When their father died the role of Manilyn Reynes

and Gina Alajar are become responsible of doing what is needed in the funeral.

Although they feel the pain they manage to smile and let people know that they conquer

it. However, the role of Roderick Paulate as a gay - he become overacting in front of the

funeral. But still he feel the pain of losing his father.

 In the scene where they find out that they are not the legal family of their father they

easily understand it. They feel embarrassed for not being able to understand it in their

early life but still they are thankful for having their father in the years that he is alive.

They not allow their selves to be defeated by anger to their father for not telling them the

truth instead they believe that still they are blessed. And the real family was the one

who should be in their situation not them but because of the respect of the legal family

they respect it. They decided to be as one family during the funeral for it to be peaceful.

During the funeral they fight about the past happenings in their life. Jealousy,

favouritism and many other issue - it cause a lot of pain to each other. But in the end,

they manage to understand the perspective of both sides. They allow their selves to

listen and learn how to forgive. As they go through they let everyone to be happy and

contented of what they had.

In the movie, the scenes are very much detailed. The flow of every scenario gives great

impact to the audiences. The places that has been use creates a beautiful and very

realistic show as the actors delivers their role. The interesting part shows the

background of the movie and how every scene appears in the first part. And as you

watch the whole movie youll see every tiny details. The movie succeed on how they

should interpret the true meaning behind the story. It allows the viewers to see how the

story must go on and how should the flow should be in.

On the other hand, in terms of the characterization. Many actors excel in so many ways.

They show great talent and does a lot to improve the movie. The role of Ms. Manilyn

Reynes as a lovable and understanding character succeeded in playing her role. As she

act and let the role be alive. Ms. Manilyn is a great actress for letting the audience feel

how should be her character is portraying. Also, she let all the characters reunited and

solve the problems they encounter.

 The next one is Ms. Gina Alajar as a responsible and kind. She portray the role of a

daughter that love his father a lot and give him the best she can give. She provide

everything although her other siblings is getting jealous of what attention she has. Ms.

Gina allow us to feel what love she has for their father and let us know how she felt

when everyone is against her. She let the feelings out for the audience feel what it is

inside her.

The last one is Mr. Roderick Paulate as a gay but a kind, responsible and an

independent character. Being a gay does not make him weak and lose his self

confidence instead he used it as a way to help his family. He learn how to provide his

own needs by means of working in a bar. Mr. Roderick played one of the important role

in the movie he makes the viewers see what life a gay has. Also, his role gives

entertainment and lesson.

 The other characters also gives life to their characters. The supporting actors give so

much effort to play their role. They help the main characters to succeed in giving what is

needed to be seen in the movie. The other actors even if they are just supporting

characters they give their best and as you can see they have potential in the industry.

They portray according to the directors wanted them to give.

The movie is a real life scenario but it has a comedy side. It show how a family oriented

family is being able to handle the problem that they had. The comedy side appear

during the scenes of Mr. Roderick Paulate who entertain and gives colour to the movie.

Pain, happiness, caring and many more is the emotion you can feel while watching it.

The symbolism that has been used is correctly used. The use of trite are executed in a

way that it has been needed.

 The purpose of the movie why it is made is to let the people know that losing a person

you love is not that easy. The bills that is needed to be paid, how can you provide the

needs during the funeral like the foods and the candles and also how you can manage

the pain while thinking if everything is okay. It let the viewers know that life is not always

like a fairytale it does not always has a happy ending. There are so many problems you

need to overcome before you succeed. The movie allow the viewers to see what life is

about and how life start and end.

The movie was made good. It gives the overall need of the audience- the emotion

needed, the great actors who portray the roles, the places that has been used, the script

that has been written. The movie was made according to its purpose and objective. It

gives the lesson that should be sustain to the viewers. The techniques, styles and other

aspect can be indentified.

 The lesson of the movie is that life is full of unwanted things that may come up in your

way. Everyone needs to be prepared of what is coming and what is going to be lost.

The beginning and end of life always gives hope and happiness but then it gives

something that can makes us broke. The movie allows you to learn the different aspect

of life and how it must go on. It may teach us a lesson and it might be our basis on how

to handle things.

The whole movie can be recommended to others. It may be use as a teaching material

for the students get the lesson it has. It can provide you nor give you inspiration in life.

The movie entitled Ded na si Lolo allows the audience to get the meaningful lines. The

characters give so much effort for the movie to been as a very great work. And to let

people know the worth for the persons behind the scenes.
