Csus4

Sus4 (or just sus) stands for suspended 4th. The 3rd of a
minor or major chord is suspended and replaced by a
perfect 4th. You can easily get this chord by taking a
major chord shape and moving the third (can be more
than one in a chord shape) one fret (a half-step) up. E.g. a
Csus4 (Csus) chord consists of the tones C, F and G.

To make one or more bars of a single major chord more

interesting, you can switch back and forth between the
sus and the major variant of that chord or you play sus in
the rst half of the bar and then major.
