Course Objective:

After completing this course the students will be able to

1. Understand the basic components of control systems.


2. Place appropriate control loops on a PFD.
3. Derive equations governing the dynamic behavior of processes.
4. Derive transfer functions of simple processes.
5. Simulate the dynamic behavior of a process using MATLAB.
6. Understand the typical industrial control systems.

Grading:

by the instructor and substantiated by written verification. Your course grade is
based on the following absolute scale:

A : 93-100%, A- : 90-93% , B+ : 87-90% , B : 83-87% , B- : 80-83%


C+ : 77-80% , C : 73-77% , C- : 70-73%
D+ : 67-70% , D : 60-67% , F : 0-60%

Cheating, including copying is considered a serious offense and will result in a F
