A. Tourism Island
Bali is the most well known tourism destination in Indonesia. With many
tourism area that offer many great aspects. Bali become idol for many tourism
from the world. The aspects that become factors of supporting tourism side in
Bali are the beauty landscape in many places some beaches has international
level and very famous, like sanur beach, kuta beach, etc. beside that, tourism in
Bali sells the original tradition that become interest especially for foreign tourists.
The tradition is very representative of its characteristics.
Not also two sides of above factor, but also save condution give confortable
situation for refreshing and having vacation. The incident of terrorism in bali
some years ago make tourism in bali become not good as tourist destination.
World sees that Bali is not save. But in the fact, it is not so long going on and
short time Bali caw able to repair its performance in tourism. Thousands foreign
tourists visit Bali every year and it is a real proof that Bali is the real tourism
land.

CHAPTER II
DESCRIPTION OF CONRAD BALI
A. Location
Located on the southern coast of Bali, conveniently situated only 10km ( 6.5
miles ) from the Ngurah Rai International Airport ( Denpasar ) and next to the
Nusa Dua resost area. On 6.8 hectares of tropical garden and lagoons with
cascading waterfalls, the resort also has a pristine 350 metre beach with 14 beach
bales.
Embraced in contemporary Balinese architecture, each of the resorts 298
spacious guest rooms and suites overlook the resort, ocean, lagoons or garden

2. Ays Raner
Job description :
- Taking dirty linen from pantry to laundry
- Takin clean linen from laundry to pantry house keeping
- Pick up and deliver guest laundry and handle guest request like extra
bed, baby coat, additional guest supplier and towels.
The daily activities of Ays Raner divided into 2 shift :
Morning shift : at 07.00 am 04.00 pm
Afternoon shift : at 02.00 pm 11.00 pm

3. LAUNDRY
Laundry Machine :
1. Washing machine
2. Drying machine
3. Pressing Machine

6. Flat work Ironer
This machine works automatically for ironing the linen in hotel. For
example ; sheet, pillow case, duvet cover, napkin, table cloth. This
machine works on it rolls which rolling on heat temperature. When
ironing linen, there is an officer that handle the job.
Two officers put the clothes that need to be ironed and 2 other receive
the clothes that are already ironed.
To keep the linen in good and straight condition when ever they are in
flat work ironer then we should notice of these things :
1. Linen may not be too wet when it is on the roll
2. The pillow of the rolls scraggly
3. Steam isnt hot enough
4. Rolling continously
5. Ironer
Ironer is a hand ironer machine that is used as regular iron. This
machine is connected to hot steam that makes it easier to use.
Kind of cleaner in laundry :
- Detergent : Used to wash
- Oxybrite : to make clothes more glisten
- Softener : is a liquid cleaner to soften towel or linen really soft
after washed
- Builder : To remove the spot
- Sourplus : Used to neutralize clothes.
Section in Laundry :
a. Mangler ( Flat work ironer )
Is a section that has responsibility to the morning process for sheet
pillow case, duvet cover, apron, napkin and table clothes.
Job description :
- Cleaning work area
- Check machines
- Preparation before processing and sparating between spot and OO
(Out of Order )
b. Presser
Is a section that has responsibility in ironing process and used irones
machine.
Job description :
- Clean work area
- Take uniform already dried
- Prepare uniform in the trolley
- Put uniform on pressing machine and then press
- After that send the linen
- For guest laundry, we can check directly sent cecker.
c. Dry Cleaning
Is a section that has responsibility to the laundry that is washed with dry
cleaning system. Job for this section :
- Clean the machine and work area
- Chek the chemical ( solvent )
- Check the clothes, we must fix the service they are dry cleaning or
pressing only
- Write total color and brand of clothes in list.
- If there is a problem with the laundry guest like having spot, ripped,
we can report to supervisor
- Give the marker
- Sort the clothes according to their color and material
- Put on the clothes in the machine
- Continued to press
- In the pressing process, we must separate clothes based on :
- Trouser, we can press it in pan hoper
- Jacket and coat, press them in body steam
- Clothes that are made of silk, wool and polisher we can press in
steam
- For finishing, we can use finishing board and hand owner
- Sen to checker
d. Washer
Is a section that has responsibility to the laundry. That wash using water
and cleaner. Washer is derived into washer when is a part of washer
which has responsibility to wash the linen hotel.
e. Checker
Is a part of laundry has responsibility to check the laundry guest
There are two conclusion that I get from taking a part job training in the
Conrad Resort Bali. The first is I take from the hotel and resort its self, and the
second is representative the point of view of mine.
The thing important from the first conclusion is that Conrad Resort Bali is
one power in tourism of Bali. It is very important and powerfull, with many services
that are able also to give satisfying to foreign tourism, can improve tourism side in
this land.
Conrad Resort Bali gives services in international level of class. All of the
services are supplied based on the needs of tourism. This is become most of foreign
tourists feel at home and they do not have any plans to not some again to Bali.
Beside the international class in giving services, the hotel and resort also
notice the original product that become characteristic of Bali. In one way, this is very
important as high factor that causes why Bali become a very famous international
destination of tourism.
The second conclusion is about me, my self in taking a part this job training
in the Conrad Hotel And Resort. However taking a part the job training is very
important for me and give many things for me to face the real life. In the real life, it
is become a capital that every people need. I get from the training. I describe how
importance taking a part the training is in paragraphs below.
Geeting job training in conrad bali gives me a lot of challenges and
experiences because its the first time I involved in a company and faced so many
people with different characters.
Trought job training, I have learn so many things. I found that work in a
team was fun because I was able to know and learn their character. We respect each
other well. They told me not to be afraid of making mistakes because we can learn
more from it.
The togetherness and good cooperation made us able to finish everything well.
