Acting 1 Object Exercise

Circumstance: I am running late for class but I need to look somewhat presentable today so I
am putting on my mascara. The fact that I am sorta OCD about the way I put it on is annoying to
me because I am in such a hurry.

1. Obtain materials: REVLON Grow Luscious Mascara, MAYBELLINE Pumped Up!

Mascara, a q tip and a mirror, this is done is a quick fashion.
2. Put mirror somewhere where it is eye level to where you are standing.. You must be
standing or this will not work
3. Place mascara tubes and q tip to the right of the mirror, sort of slammed down so they
stay.
4. Tilt mirror to the point where it frames your face
5. Using both hands, tuck hair behind both ears at the same time
6. Glance at your face for a moment
7. Grab the REVLON mascara with your right hand and place it in your left
8. Twist to open the tube
9. Begin with your right eye, scrunch eyes slightly and brush 10 times with your eye this
way, then open your eyes wide and tilt your head back and brush 10 more times, then
scrunch them again and jiggle the brush up the eyelash 3 times
10. Repeat step 9 using the left eye
11. Move back to your right eye and brush down on the bottom lashes about 7 times, then
flip the brush to point to the right and brush down 7 times on your left bottom lashes
12. Put brush back in mascara tube, close it, put in right hand, and place back on the right
side of the mirror
13. Now pick up the MAYBELLINE mascara with your right hand and place it in your left
14. Twist open the tube
15. Open your eyes wide and tilt your head to the left, jiggle brush your right upper lashes
about 7 times, then tilt your head to the right and repeat with the left upper lids.
16. Let your eyelids hang down loosely and brush each of the upper lids 5 more times,
pressing down against the brush
17. Open your eyes widely to check your work, become frustrated that you smudged and
need to clean it.
18. Close the tube, transfer it to you right hand, place to the right of the mirror
19. Take the q tip with your right hand and put it in and out of your mouth as your would a
lolly pop
20. Close your right eye and clean any mascara smudges, open it and clean underneath,
this is done haphazardly
21. Repeat step with your left eye
22. Stand back slightly from the mirror and look at yourself, youre not pleased, but you dont
have time to fix it.
