Resident Medical Officer (RMO):


Hamdard University Hospital, Karachi (June 2008 March 2011) and (Feb 2012 - to-date)

Responsible to manage average 25-30 patients the hand over in assigned ward from previous duty
Doctors on daily basis including Pre-Ops and Post-Ops patients.
Responsible to maintain and coordinate various hospital departments such as nursing, physiotherapy,
radiology, labs etc. to ensure maximum care are provided to the patient.
Perform daily ward round to monitor patients conditions and supervise the ordering of investigations
and collection of results.
Ensure that patients records are kept updated and all progressive events are documented for Senior
Consultants.
Keep and update Senior Consultants regarding their patients improvement and if any concerns or
changes observed to them.
Supervise and train Junior Staff to prioritize the ward round work.

Medical Officer (Medicine & Surgery Faculty):

Receive patients in wards for further management and treatment.


Take and record thorough history to understand the patients problem and perform initial diagnosis
assessment.
Advise appropriate investigations (e.g. CXR, ECG, Lab work-up) and Procedural activity (e.g. blood
cultures, IV cannulations and infusions catheterization) based on initial assessment.
Prescribed drug therapies or any other appropriate services based on initial investigation results.
