1630hrs: Master arrived on bridge and Chief Officer relived.
1631hrs: Emergency alarm sounded.
1632hrs: All crews mustered on bridge. All actions for drill as per F.O.M.
9.5.13
1632hrs 1700hrs: The following were briefed by Master to all:
(a) Unless other vessel in distress, an approval from
management must be taken prior rendering assistance.

(b) Incase vessel in distress, Master should offer help,

Company can be informed as early as possible.
(c) Our vessels are not generally designed for the purpose and
capability limited to tow fishing boats and small crafts.
(d) Our vessels is provided with wire rope stored in Fwd store
and bow shackles for towing in Emergency.
(e) Incase vessel offering help in emergency or by advice of
management, the limitation of vessel should be
considered:
i) Whether vessel having sufficient BHP.
ii) Whether all consumables are sufficient for voyage.
iii) Whether weather & sea condition considered and port
of refugee considered if situation demands.
iv) Any other constraints of vessel.
(f) Incase vessel offering salvage & towing actions the
following actions to be followed immediately:
i) Fix time and position.
ii) Exhibit Day/Night signals.
iii) Keep Radio Station stand by with current updated
position and inform ships in vicinity.
iv) All actions should be recorded in log book.
v) Take photographs.
vi) Prepare salvage plan with advise of Salver to get best
possible out come.
