Our

church has a Sunday evening service, Deep Roots. It is a time of no agenda, but of
just being, listening, resting in His presence. On 9-10-17, I experienced the following
picture/vision:

The narrow earthen road was just wide enough for two. We walked silently side by side,
facing the golden yellow sun as it sat low in the sky. The surrounding ocean of wheat
swayed in the warm breeze, carrying with it a sweet scentwas it the wheat or Him?

He raised his left arm, lightly touching the heads of wheat as we walked; I raised my
right arm and did the same. His overwhelming peace became my strength; I felt I could
walk like this forever...to never leave His side.

Some of my thoughts about this experience are that Jesus is walking the earth, checking
the wheat (the harvest). The narrow earthen road (symbolic of moving forward) wide
enough for two (unity) represents us moving forward in unity/union, with Him and each
other.

The position of the sun in the sky gives a nod to the timing of His return; which only He
knows. The swaying wheat speak of those who are moved by the wind of every new
teaching, doctrine, political movement, statement, etc. and the sweet scent speaks of
discernment, of understanding the times like the sons of Issachar. (I Chron.12: 32)

That Jesus had his left arm raised is significant, because generally, the left arm or hand is
considered weak or defective in some way...He took my position of weakness.

II Corn. 12:9 ISV, but he has told me, "My grace is all you need, because my power is
perfected in weakness." Therefore, I will most happily boast about my weaknesses, so
that the Messiah's power may rest on me.

And that Jesus touched the heads of wheat shows that Holy Spirit is actively changing
the minds and hearts of a great multitude.

Also, I was greatly impacted by the peace of Jesus in this encounter. He was literally like
a rock of peace that was tangible. Jesus is not worried or wringing his hands over wars,
political upheavals, storms, fires or floods. He is the Prince of Peace! I received such
strength from His peace that it is hard for me to describe. I never wanted to leave His
side.
Ps 29:11 ISV says, The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people
with peace.

My final thoughts; Understand your position. You are in Christ. He is in youyou are not
separate from Him. Ask, Seek, Knock...glorious days are ahead.

My best, Linda
