1.1 Background
Impact Training is a community based, not for profit training organisation. The
organisation was set up to tackle the serious unemployment problems in North &
West Belfast in the 1970s. It has delivered a range of government funded initiatives
and programmes to meet the needs and barriers to employment. It currently delivers
a range of training and employment programmes including Training for Success,
Level 2 and 3 Apprenticeships, and the Local Employment and Intermediary Service
(LEMIS). Its main base is situated at 16 Lanark Way, Shankill Road, Belfast.
Community Empowerment Division has approved grant aid to Impact Training (NI)
Ltd, a training and education provider located on the Shankill Road.
1.2 Scope
Impact Training Limited in line with the Department for Communities, Community
Empowerment Division wishes to appoint a Contractor to supply, deliver and install
specialised joinery equipment.
It is anticipated that this Contract will commence on the date of award until the
accepted delivery and installation of all required goods, up to 29th December 2017.
1.3 Terms
For the remainder of this document the client is defined as Impact Training, unless
otherwise stated. The end-user is defined as the individual who will use the
equipment on a day-to-day basis.
2.0 Mandatory Requirements
The proposed system must meet all the Mandatory Requirements (MRs) listed below
