Facilitation/Implementation:
Introduction
Start the class by showing the Dancing Shapes Dance and Peppa Pig:
Chlo's Puppet Show videos for mastery purposes.
Lesson Proper
Provide clear instructions about the puppet making in preparation for the
puppet carnival. Their activity must be based on the planned output they
conducted in lesson 2 using the Lets Do the Planning worksheet and
that recycled materials are to be used.
Instruct children to integrate the use of Indigenous designs that portray
shapes in creating puppets.
Highlight that their end product must have a moving part.
Discuss safety precautions in using sharp and pointed objects such as
scissors and pens.
Ask children for questions to provide clarifications about the activity.
Puppet creation activity
Visit each group for facilitation and behaviour management purposes.
Play the Dancing Shapes Dance Video as background music.
Display their finished product in the classroom.
Strategic Intervention
ESL and Learners with special needs & Aboriginal Students
Do distribution of the Lets Do the Planning worksheet and art
materials
Assign to be the drummers, designers and other roles of their capabilities
and interest
