We will use the quiz after our Brain Pop video to further investigate the main idea, supporting ideas, and
the use of details.
Assessment:
We will create a smart board chart to organize the main idea and supporting details in our reading.
Students will need to know how to read, and how to utilize a smart board.

Provide all information necessary for another teacher to replicate your lesson or unit.
Open the lesson by playing the video of bee sounds with the projector turned off. Allow the students a chance at
guessing what that sound is made by. Turn on projector and tell them the answer.
Do a picture walk through and read The Honey Bee Man to the students.
Procedures:
Discuss the main point of the book and the supporting details.
Watch Brain Pop Video: Main Idea and do quiz
If time allows, using smart board create a table to organize main and supporting ideas.
Pass out the venn diagram to fill out individually.
Modifications Assist one- on- one with venn diagram. Read quiz aloud.
