Introduction
The main resource of energy is relying on fossil fuels
and these resources have two main issues. These
resources are depleting and have environmentally
effect on the world. Therefore need to a non-toxic and
high density energy carrier is necessary. Hydrogen as a
green fuel with high energy density is a very good
candidate to supply world energy demand. The storage
of hydrogen for use in vehicles is perhaps the most
difficult problem to overcome. There are many
methods for hydrogen storage but that is not
appropriate for vehicles. Adsorption of hydrogen is a
very good candidate to storage it for vehicles purpose.
Porous materials that have nanometer-sized pores is
appropriate to use as an adsorbent. A wide range of
carbons and metal-organic framework (MOF) and
Zeolite materials with a wide variety of pore structure,
surface chemistry, and structural flexibility have been
studied.
Two parameters for investigation of best adsorbent
have been measured at two Temperatures:
1. Surface area of adsorbent
2. Pore volume of adsorbent

The best condition for adsorbents takes place at

cryogenic region but as this region its hard and
expensive to reach and not appropriate for vehicles
purpose, the amount of adsorption measured at ambient
temperature.

Results and Discussion

Increase in the size of surface area leads to increase in
the adsorbed amount but decrease in the amount of
pore volume leads to increase of adsorbed amount and
its shown adsorption in the micro-pores is most
important than macro-pores. Carbon based adsorbent
has a best condition. According to DOE1 report by this
amount of adsorption on carbon based adsorbent can
