Not Only Grace

(logically compiled by Bill Stevenson)

Poem that Teaches

(Author Unknown)

JUSTIFICATION frees from sin.

SANCTIFICATION frees from the power of sin.
GLORIFICATION frees from the presence of sin.

JUSTIFICATION is for the repentant sinner.

SANCTIFICATION is for the surrendered disciple.
GLORIFICATION is for the victorious saint.

JUSTIFICATION takes care of the past.

SANCTIFICATION takes care of the present.
GLORIFICATION takes care of the future.

JUSTIFICATION changes the attitude.

SANCTIFICATION changes the character.
GLORIFICATION changes us from mortal to immortal.

In JUSTIFICATION, Jesus is our Savior.

In SANCTIFICATION, Jesus is our Master.
In GLORIFICATION, Jesus is our glorious King.

JUSTIFICATION is our title to Heaven.

SANCTIFICATION is our fitness for Heaven.
GLORIFICATION is our entrance to Heaven.

***I am for God’s Grace only in relation to Justification and Salvation. And I am for increasing Christ-like
righteousness and agapè compassion for Sanctification. The latter is not automatic or completely done by the Holy
Spirit as many Christian preachers teach. Did you know that there are over 1000 commandments in the New
Testament? The Holy Spirit wants to help us obey them. We should desire such only because we love God the
Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible more than anything of this world. Romans 14:17 is for now--
righteousness is rewarded by divine peace and joy in the Holy Spirit= the Kingdom of God. And I am against
legalism which is in most churches.
If you disagree with any of the above statements, the following might change your mind.

Go back and count the commandments for Christians before answering the following questions.

So what should be the qualities and identifiers of true Christian living? Should Christians just be resting all of
the time because of the wonderful grace of God or are there specific responsibilities they should be doing because
they increasingly love and live for God? How can you be sensitive to the Holy Spirit urgings throughout ever
day?

If there were arrests and court trials for Christians, how much evidence would the detectives find of God-pleasing
actions would they find for the prosecutor to use against you? Who are you living for most of the time? Yourself
or God? Every sin is because of selfishness. Now carefully read Romans 8, Galatians 5, and Proverbs 3:5-6. I
hope that you will become a better ambassadors for Christ. He is coming back for a purified Bride.
