We are going to work on the English language:
CURSO MONOGRFICO
Beyond B2. First steps towards C1
The main aim of this course is that the English
students that have already finished Advanced
Level (B2) in our school may go on improving and
updating their knowledge of the English
Language. The methodology that will be used will
be the same as in the other levels of our school, a
communicative approach based on the four skills
(Listening and Reading Comprehension, Writing
and Speaking). However, speaking will be given
special attention, for that is the skill students have
more difficulty to practise on their own.
Level C1 students, according to the Common
European Framework of Reference for
Languages (CEFR), are Proficient Users of the
English Language. That is, someone that uses
English Language almost as a native speaker in
day to day and work situations, presentations,
reports, instructions and accurate explanations.
Duration: 60 hours (2 hours per week)
Place: EOI Badajoz
Compulsory requirement: Level B2 certificate
(according to the CEFR)

Dates:
Pre-enrolment period: from September 1st to
September 7th
List of accepted students: September 11th
Enrolment dates: from September 12st to
September 15th
Certification: By the end of the school year, the
students that have attended a minimum of 85% of
classes are entitled to a certificate of attendance.

they can be solved and reflect on the way these
problems interfere with good communication.
We will have formal debates, we will produce
texts, we will work in groups and we will try to
communicate as much as we can and in the best
possible way.
Important Notes:
Students must take into consideration that this
course doesnt imply obtaining Level C1, nor does
it allow a direct access to the exam of this same
level. To do that, those whose aim is to get that
certification, must enrol as free students within the
corresponding dates, which will be published in
the DOE.
- This course is not, in any way, a preparation for
the same level exam. Its a course to perfect the
use and practice of the English language.
- Should you be interested in the C1 Certificate,
the evaluation procedure and exam structure will
be published and available to all, together with
the Departments General Programme, on the
EOI Badajoz web site.
- This first pre-enrolment dates are just a way the
school administration has to verify the need for
this course so we can form the groups and see
how many groups are required. It is not binding;
the enrolment must be done later on, within the
formal enrolment dates.
