The 2016 edition of Data 2020 Summit brought a light to many practical case studies, insightful discussions
and new ideas. The general output was that we are living in an unprecedented business era. Digitalization, fast
development of technology, GDPR, aspiration for automation, and the need to utilize more of the data collected,
forces organisations to rethink the way business is done. This especially impact Information Management and
IT in general. Last years event focused on the prerequisites of Enterprise Data Management and the need to
acknowledge data as an enterprise asset. We focused on the main pillars of Data Governance, Data Privacy,
Master Data Management and Enterprise Architecture. We discussed Big Data and IOT and how organisations
maximize the ROI of their utilization and looked at some the challenges professionals face working in this area.
