Affluent Eastern Suburbs school with towards 800 students R-7.

Class (including children with special needs)

Class is of diverse academic ability with five ILP students and five EALD students. Behaviour is not an
issue.

Anna has completed an outstanding practicum at BPS. She has truly engaged in her teaching
experience, developing positive relationships with the students, her mentor and members of the
community. Anna responded well to feedback ensuring that all lessons and interactions with
students were of high quality. Congratulations Anna and all the best with your future career in
teaching.

Anna displayed the disposition of a highly competent practitioner and went well beyond the
expectations of a third year student. She made the most of her time at Burnside PS and had an
excellent practicum. She was well organised and prepared and had excellent relationships with
students and staff. Well done.

Student Name: Anna Bampton

Professional Knowledge

Annas professional knowledge is developing appropriately and her ability to digest and articulate the
curriculum is well advanced of her year level. Anna demonstrated a mastery of technology across
lessons and her ability to research and produce lessons that were A C sourced and age appropriate,
was excellent. As Anna gains more practical classroom experience, her skills set will continue to grow.

Professional Practice
Anna is already an accomplished classroom teacher and her practicum simply enhanced her
confidence and reinforced her choice of vocation. She demonstrated the professional distance so
important in teaching whilst retaining the warmth that endeared her to the students and wider school
community. Anna undertook a greater teaching role than required and planned and taught effectively,
both assessing against the curriculum and planning follow up or extension lessons. Anna wants to
teach and is good at it.

Professional Engagement
Anna has a professional and comfortable style that allows her to effortlessly transcend the layers of her
professional duties. She is comfortable with students, parents and peers and she has the confidence to
deal with all the nuances of school life. Anna was able to capture the imagination of her students with
well-constructed, thoroughly planned lessons and sought assistance from various sources within the
school in a professional manner.
