receipt transaction. Through miscellaneous transaction, you can
get the material into your inventory organization under respective
subinventory and location.

Here we have made a misc receipt of Asus Computer

Motherboard with 5 Serial Numbers.

We have received in FGI Sub inventory of EM1 IO.

Rebuild Work Orders are created as child Work

Orders.

For example, a Work Order was issued for Asus

Laptop. During the Laptop Maintenance, you found
that the Asus Motherboard, one of the components of
the Laptop, is problematic. You have two options:
Repair and then reinstall same Rebuildable Item or

Replace buildable item by issuing other Rebuildable Item

from inventory.

If we perform a material issue from inventory, then the
spare rebuildable item attaches to the Work Order,
automatically creating the child, rebuild Work Order
number associated to the parent Work Order.
In this case, the Asset Number genealogy automatically
updates to identify this new item number.
So, if initially ASM- RB001 is attached to Parent then it is
replaced by ASM- RB002.

If you choose to repair and then re-install the problematic

motor rebuildable item, then you can manually create the
child rebuild Work Order for the old motor (rebuildable
item).

Asset#3337018. The user complains that the asset is
shutting down after regular intervals.
Work Order is created to rectify the issue.
Work Order # GUL255421 is created to perform this task
Material is attached to the WO which is going to be
replaced.
User will change the WO status to Released.

Executor will start executing the work and create a child

work order to replace the old one.

Maintenance Super User responsibility. Just query for the
work order number which needs material.

User can check the material attached to the Work order.

Here, he will provide ASM-RB-002to replace old rebuidable item. At the end of the
line, User will find Replace Rebuidable Details

Clicking the Replaced Rebuild Details icon, Rebuidable

page will open. Provide the details of rebuidable item,
which need to be place. So that system will create a Child
Work order in respect of that old rebuildable item.

Rebuidable child work order number

is to be provided so that system will
create a child of the same name.

created against parent WO#

Once you are complete with this step, click on apply

so that system can create a work order of that name.

Now, Issue the material for replacement of old

motherboard through this One Step Material Issue.

This child work order can be completed,

independent of the parent work order.

rebuildable part, on which the Maintenance will be carried
out.

Once the maintenance work is done i.e WO# GUL255421-

CHILD is completed. The rebuildable asset is sent back
