Brew Ha Ha Celebrates 10 Years!

he first year WQPT presented
Brew Ha Ha, the month was
May. The place: Downtown
Moline and the weather: rainy,
windy and cold. The next year Brew
was moved to September and over to
LeClaire Park and we have had pretty
spectacular weather every year since.
But throw salt over your shoulder
because we don’t want to jinx this year!
Over the years we’ve heard great
bands like the Andrew Landers Project,
Jim the Mule and returning for their
second year, Minus Six. We’ve had
comedy provided by Comedy Sportz and
Penguin’s Comedy Club is once again
sponsoring the “ha ha” portion of Brew
Ha Ha presenting Dwayne Clark. A huge

Tucks Tenacious Trippel
- Marriage of spicy,
fruity and alcohol flavors supported by
a soft malt character. Low to moderate
phenols are peppery in character. Esters are
reminiscent of citrus fruit such as orange
or sometimes lemon. A low to moderate
spicy hop character is usually found.
Bitterness is typically medium to high from
a combination of hop bitterness and yeast-
produced phenolics.
Coriander & Orange - A light specialty
beer, the coriander & orange has a spicy
coriander tone with a subtle orange and

Scotch Ale – is not your typical Scotch Ale.
Combined with traditional malt sweetness
is a distinct smoke flavor derived from
authentic peat-smoked malt. This beer will
change your opinion about Scottish ales due
to its drinkability. Hop flavor and bitterness
are minor, yet balance out this malty beer.
Sheep Head Ale - Pours a clear, coppery
amber color with a tall, fluffy tan head that
is somewhat slow to recede. The beer’s
aroma is of orange and grapefruit citrus
hops with a sweet caramel malt aroma
backbone. Sweet caramel and toffee malt,
that gives way to some well balanced citrus
hop flavors at mid tongue.
