Reason ‘This service bulletin introduces a new oil tank pressure relief kit (23073299) that lets the transient oil pressure increase to 155 psi ©. Description This service bulletin gives you the procedure to remove the pressurizing valve vent-tube (23065524), the oll-tank pressurizing valve (23062185) and the oil tankto-pressurizing valve vent tube (23062186), and install the oil tank pressure relief kit (23073299) and the oil-tank pressurizing valve (23062185) in a new location. (CAUTION: IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE POTENTIAL FOR MULTIPLE-ENGINE IN-FLIGHT ‘SHUTDOWN, POWER LOSS, OR OTHER ANOMALY DUE TO MAINTENANCE ERROR, ROLLS-ROYCE RECOMMENDS THAT OPERATORS AVOID PERFORMING MAINTENANCE ON MULTIPLE ENGINES INSTALLED ON THE SAME AIRCRAFT AT THE SAME TIME. IF IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO AVOID MAINTENANCE ON MORE THAN ONE ENGINE AT THE SAME TIME, ROLLS-ROYCE RECOMMENDS THAT ADDITIONAL CONTROLS ARE APPLIED IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT MAINTENANCE TASKS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AS. Remove the old oil tank vent tube (160) from the oil tank, and from the pressurizing valve (200) (28062188). Remove the clamp (170) from the oil tank vent tube. Remove the pressurizing valve (200) from the old accessory gearbox-to-pressurizing valve vent tube (AGB vent tube) (110) (23065524). Remove the old AGB vent tube. (@) ) © @ ee 0, @ (hy Remove the nut (10) and the bolt (40) that attach the clamp (20) and the cushion (30) to the old AGB vent tube (110) and the flowmeter-to-service manifold fuel tube (150). Remove the clamp (20) and the cushion (30) from the old AGB vent tube (110) and the flowmeter-to-service manifold fuel tube (150). Remove the nut (140) and the bolt (50) that attach the clamp (120) and the cushion (130) to the FADEC B hamess (60) and the old AGB vent tube (110). Remove the clamp (120) and the cushion (130) from the the FADEC B harness (60) and the old AGB vent tube (110). Remove the nut (100) and the bolt (90) that attach the clamp (80) and the cushion (70) to the FADEC B hamess (60) and the old AGB vent tube (110). Remove the clamp (80) and the cushion (70) from the the FADEC 6 harness (60) and the old AGB vent tube (110). Remove the nut (290, Fig 1 (Sheet 2 of 2)) and the bott (270) that attachs the clamp (260) to the AGB vent tube (110), and the clamp (280) to the front sump-to-pump scavenge oil tube (250). Remove the old AGB vent tube (110) from the accessory gearbox fitting. Remove the cap (300) from the accessory gearbox fitting. Remove the clamps on the FADEC hamess and the oil tubes. Remove the clamp (320) (23037873-06) from the fan sump-to-pump scavenge oll tube (330). Remove the clamp (360) and the cushion (360) from the FADEC B harness (60) and the front sump-to~pump scavenge oil tube (250). (b) Install the new clamp (50) (23060015-06) on the new oil vent tube (130). = (©) Install the clamp (140) (23060015-06) on the new oil vent tube (130). NOTE: This clamp was removed from the old tank vent tube in step 2.A,(1)(). (@) Install the new oil vent tube (130) on the oil tank. WARNING: DO NOT GET THE ANTISEIZE COMPOUND (NSN-165) ON YOUR SKIN. OR BREATHE THE VAPORS, IT IS POISONOUS. IF YOU GET IT ON. YOUR SKIN, CLEAN WITH SOAP AND WATER. IF YOU GET IT IN YOUR EYES, FLUSH WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID. (©) Use the antiseize compound (NSN—165) to lubricate the two bolts (10 and 40) (MS9696-05 and MS9696-09), (Install the bolt (40) (MS9696-05) and the nut (70) (AS3477-08) that attach the clamps (80 and 50) to the flowmeter-to-service manifold fuel tube (60) and the new oil vent ‘tube (130). () Install the bott (10) (MS9696-09) and the nut (110) (AS3477-09) that attach the clamp (20) and the FADEC B hamess (30), the clamp (140) and the new oil vent tube (130), the clamp (100), the fowmeter-to-service manifold fuel tube (60), and the oll pressure tube (120) to the bracket (90). CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT ALL OF THE SELF-LOCKING COMPONENTS ARE ‘SERVICEABLE. THE SELF-LOCKING COMPONENTS THAT ARE NOT 'SERVICEABLE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. (h)_Use the torque wrench to torque the nuts (70 and 110) to 37-42 in-tb (4.24.7 Nn) (Ref. 70-00-00, MM). (Use the torque wrench to torque the fing of the new oil vent tube (130) that attaches to the oil tank to 22.5-25.0 fi-tb (31-34 Nm) (Ref. 70-00-00, MM). (7) Install the tee fitting (10, Fig. 3) (AS4210T06 or 230354 10-06 or 23038360-06) on the new ‘ll vent tube (20) (8) _Inctall the cap (30) (23039004--06 or 23039005-06) on the tee fiting (10).. NOTE: The cap (30) (23039004-06 or 23039005-06) must be removed when Cessna personnel installs the oil tank pressure relief valve (50) (23073345), the union fitting (40) (230597 12-06 or 230597 13-06) and the Cessna supplied pressure relief valve drain tube (60). (9) Use the torque wrench to torque the fittings that connect the new oil vent tube (20) to the tee (10) and the cap (30) to 22.5-25 ft-1b (31-34 Nm) (Ref. 70-00-00, MM). (10) Install the union (80, Fig. 4) (23059712-06) on the tee (70). (11) Install the pressurizing valve (90) on the union (80). NOTE: The pressurizing valve was removed in step 2.4.2). Use the torque wrench to torque the AGB tube (60) fitting on the accessory gearbox to 22.5-25 ft-lb (31-34 Nm) (Ref. 70-00-00, MM). (Use the antiseize compound (NSN-165) to lubricate the bott (10). (g) Install the bolt (10) (MS9696-05) and the nut (40) (AS3477~-08) that attach the new clamp (100) and the pressurizing valve (90) to the FADEC B harness (30) and the new clamp (20). (h)_ Use the torque wrench to torque the nut (40) to 37-42 into (4.2-4.7 Nm) (Ref. 70-00-00, MM). (14) Install the new pressure cap (60) (23039004-04) on the accessory gearbox fiting. (15) Use the torque wrench to torque the pressure cap (60) to 151-168 in-ib (17.1-19.0 Nm} (Ref. 70-00-00, MM). (16) Install the new clamps. (@) Install the new cushion (10, Fig. 5 or 6) (23060017~15) and the new clamp (30) (23060016-01) on the FADEC B harness (50) and the front sump-to-pump scavenge oil tube (20). (b) Use the antiseize compound (NSN-165) to lubricate the bolt (40) (MS9696-05). (©) Install the bolt (40) and the nut (60) (AS3477~09) that attaches the clamp (30) and the cushion (10) to the FADEC B hamess (50) and the front sump-to-pump scavenge cil tube (20), (a) Use the torque wrench to torque the nut (60 ) to 3742 in-tb (4.2-4.7 Nm) (Ref. 70-00-00, MM). (e) Install the new clamp (80) (23060015-08) on the AGB tube (70). (h) Install the bolt (110) (MS9696-05) and the nut (120) (AS3477~09) that attaches the two new clamps (80 and 110) (23060015-08 and 23060015-06) together. (Use the torque wrench to torque the new nut (140) to 3742 into (4.2-4.7 Nm) (Ref. 70-00-00, MM) (18) Do the engine leak test (run at max power takeoff for 3 minutes) (Ref. 72-00-00, MM).
