Dear Mr. Hood,

I am seeking a position as a Spanish teacher at Gilbert Classical Academy. I believe my

knowledge of the Spanish language and my experience within the classroom setting and this
particular school make me an excellent candidate for this position.

My primary goal as a teacher of a foreign language is to encourage the communication of

Spanish within the classroom setting and beyond. By incorporating authentic texts and products
relevant to the Spanish language and Spanish speaking cultures, I give students the opportunity
to see the real-world applications of a foreign language first-hand. I also advocate for
collaboration within the classroom in order to help students develop necessary communication
skills. I plan to use a variety of different classroom activities and instruction methods to reach
this goal.

Throughout my education, I had the opportunity to observe and participate in multiple

classrooms as an intern. My internships varied significantly in classroom instruction and in the
way the Arizona World Languages standards were approached. However, in each of my teaching
experiences I gained in depth knowledge of the En Espaol! Textbook that is also used for
Spanish instruction at Gilbert Classical Academy. My insight into many different technology
tools can also help expand the educational experiences students will have in the classroom.
