Explore how to improve asset performance by building effective asset risk, operations and maintenance plans
13th - 14th September, 2017. Hormuz Grand Hotel. Muscat, Oman
Learn the fundamentals of asset Integrity management and how to structure and efficiently implement its key
elements using the latest risk based techniques.
WORKSHOP INTRODUCTION:
Risk Based Integrity Process is the evaluation of risk is fundamental to the process of assuring asset integrity. Even
within prescriptive regulatory regimes it is unusual to find that no leeway exists enabling professional engineers to
asses, either qualitatively or quantitatively the most appropriate means and timescale for intervention and control
on the basis of risk.
This course will provide you with an awareness of the collaboration efforts that are required as well as the
application of cross-disciplinary skills in technical, engineering, finance, logistics, human communications and other
functions to achieve effective management of physical assets. The course will allow understanding how to
translate existing standards and guidelines into operational practices and daily routines. It is not an engineering
course; it is a management course but also for engineers. Course might be seen as a bridge between core
engineering knowledge and Integrity Management approach based on Risk based Inspection principles.
Explore how to improve asset performance by building effective asset risk, operations and maintenance plans
three major components of a life cycle asset management plan. Learners are exposed to the concepts of
designing for reliability, reliability-centered maintenance, failure risks and control strategies, restoration vs. disposal
