General Conditions for all positions.

1. Applications not signed by the candidates will be rejected.


2. Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.
3. A candidate can apply for one position only.
4. Age, experience, qualification etc. shall be reckoned as on June 7th 2010.
5. All qualifications must be from recognized universities/institutes.
6. Attested copies of certificates (duly attested by Gazetted Officer) showing age, educational
qualifications, caste (in case of OBC with “Non-Creamy Layer” certificate) and experience only be
attached along with the duly filled application. Candidates will have to produce all original
certificates for verification at the times of interview.
7. Age relaxation upto 05 (five) years for SC/ST and 03 (three) years for OBC candidates.
Applicants claiming age relaxation have to attach attested copy of Caste certificate from the
appropriate authorities.
8. In case of OBC, the Caste certificate, inter-alia must specify that the candidate does not belong to
‘creamy layer’ and are require to produce Certificate claiming OBC status as per format contained
in G.I. Deptt. of Pers & Trg. OM 36033/28/94-Estt(Res.) dated 02 July 1997 at the time of
interview.
9. Short listed candidates will be required to appear for the interview at their own cost at C-DAC,
Noida. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST will be paid second class rail fare/bus fare to
and fro by shortest route.
10. All the posts carry Pay Bands as shown against each plus usual allowance as applicable to C-
DAC employees.
11. Candidates working in Central Government Departments/ Organization must apply through
proper channel.
12. Mere fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle the candidate to be called for interview.
13. In case of any dispute, the decision of the C-DAC Management shall be binding and final.
14. Applications be submitted only in the prescribed format.

INSTRUCTION (WRITTEN TEST FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT AND OFFICE


ASSISTANT) :

1. The selection will be based on Written test/Computer Test and Interview.


2. The subjects of the written examination and the maximum marks for each subject will be as
follows :

General Awareness

Paper : II Comprehension and 100 marks 1 hour

Wherever, necessary the written examination may be held in two shifts

Note : Questions relating to General Awareness will be set both in Hindi and English.
Standards and Syllabus of the Written test :
(a) General Awareness : Question will be aimed at testing the candidates General Awareness of
the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test
knowledge of current events. The test will also include questions relating to India and its
neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economics, Science,
General Politic and Scientific Research.
(b) Comprehension and Writing Ability of English Language : Questions will be designed to
test the candidates understating and knowledge of English language. There will be question on
comprehension of a passage also.

3. The assessment of answer sheet of ‘Objective Multiple Choice Type’ will be done by a
optical reader. Hence, you should carefully read the instructions regarding handling of the
answer sheet and the method of marking answer.

4. Mere fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualification and experience will not confer any
right upon the candidate for being called for written test. C-DAC will not entertain any
correspondence in this respect and interim enquiry will not be attended to.
