Dear Dr. Smith:

I am writing in response to a recent post on your company website looking for registered nurses. I am
very interested in this position and wish to submit my resume for your consideration.

Throughout my career thus far, I have gained practical work experience in many different settings,
including critical care, medical-surgical, triage, pulmonary and emergency. My previous experience
has helped me to develop many skills that have prepared me for the many challenges of a
registered nurse. My previous work experience shows that I have the ability to provide quality care
to a diverse patient population in a wide variety of disciplines and situations.
In addition to my registered nursing skills, I have also developed my leadership skills thanks to my
volunteer work at personal and professional organizations. As the vice-president of the NOH branch
of the National Student Nurses Association, I have been responsible for planning various
community outreach activities, including organizing a blood donation drive for college students that
had an a 81% participation rate. Our branch also pioneered a groundbreaking education program
that assists teenage and other under-served neighborhood mothers by providing infant assistance
training, nutrition planning, and confidential family counseling.

I hope we can schedule a time to discuss how my skills and experience have prepared me for this
position soon. I will contact you in one week to discuss your organizations career opportunities. I
am looking forward to meeting you. If you have any further questions about my availability or my
work experience, please do not hesitate to call or send me an e-mail.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

Respectfully yours,

Kate Winslet C. Jumawan
