The U.S Supreme Court is part of the judicial branch. The judicial branch explains what the law
means. They also can issue warrants in federal crime cases.

The purpose of the check and balance is to make sure no one branch would be able to control too
much power and it creates a separation of powers. Each branch can check or limit the power of
the other two
