APPLICATION INFORMATION
The Aircraft Electronics Association Educational Foundation awards scholarships annually to students pursuing a career
in avionics and/or aircraft maintenance through technical training and education at a learning institution. The intent of
these scholarships is to identify and reward those individuals who best exemplify the qualities that lead to success in the
avionics and aircraft maintenance industry.

Please review the scholarship descriptions online at www.aea.net/scholarship, and check the box(es) below for each
applicable scholarship. Individuals may apply for more than one scholarship; however, applicants are only eligible to
receive one award per academic year. Please read the scholarship criteria carefully to ensure eligibility.

2. Describe what scholastic and community activities you are involved in and how these will help you pursue your
aviation career goals.

ESSAY
Please submit a 300-word essay on the following topic:

1. What impact will the FAAs NextGen technologies have on aircraft maintenance and the skills and knowledge
required of tomorrows technicians?

SCHOLARSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS


In the event the student (award recipient), for any reason, abandons the scholarship, the balance of the award shall be
returned to the Aircraft Electronics Association Educational Foundation. If the scholarship is not used in the 2016-17
school year, the student will surrender the award.

Please Note:
Scholarship monies must be used to cover the cost of tuition, books and/or tools only.
Scholarship monies cannot be used for any type of flight training or air traffic control programs.
Scholarships will be made payable to the recipient and his/her school, and must be endorsed by both parties.
Scholarship monies will not be disbursed until the student has enrolled per the scholarship sponsors criteria (verified by the
schools business office).
All scholarships are merit based with restrictions.
Scholarship applicants must have at least a cumulative 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
All scholarship monies must be used for the 2016-17 school year.
