1. Scope and Objectives of the Course

1. To develop an understanding of the concepts underlying different production processes with their
material properties.
2. To provide experience in using basic knowledge and skills in solving problems of metals forming
processes through different methods.
3. To develop problem-solving skills in metal cutting operations and machine tools, like Lathe, milling,
grinding, broaching etc.
4. To understand working of CNC machine tool and indexing.
