Job Description: HSE & SEMS Interface Consultant

Basic Function:

The HSE & SEMS Interface Consultant will:

Act as Team Lead and interface between internal WTSI/WVI personnel and third-party contractors (ie, J. Connor
Consulting/Seth Long Pelican Safety Consultant, Insurance company) to develop and initiate implementation of a
17 element SEMS program.
Add components needed to insure the 17 element SEMS program is compliant with regulations in Brazil to
provide temporary produced water treatment services for offshore exploration and production activities.
Guide and develop procedures and processes to facilitate completion of RFQs, RFPs, and information required
to execute customer MSAs.
Work with Brazilian team (Giseli/Bruce) to guide them through regulations for Brazil and ensure Brazil
regulations are well understood by WTSI.

The HSE & SEMS Interface Consultant is expected to be an outstanding verbal and written communicator and able to
manage multiple tasks and resource needs at once. She will address daily challenges, provides solutions and be able to
perform under tight time tables.

The HSE & SEMS Interface Consultant should be a creative and dedicated individual who will fit into a collaborative
culture yet confident in her ability to provide support services and make decisions as needed. The HSE & SEMS Interface
Consultant will be committed to keeping safety a priority as well as doing things right.

The HSE & SEMS Interface Consultant is expected to work closely with Executive Management, Operations, Technology,
Sales, Engineering and third-party resources to provide best in class results and help build a culture that puts safety first.

No travel is expected.

Organizational Effectiveness

1. Work closely with internal team members, third party consultants and suppliers, customers, and regulatory
authorities to develop procedures and plans for SEMS compliance, compliance in Brazil and RFQ, RFP and MSA
submittals.
2. Drive initiatives throughout the organization with a continued commitment to excellence.
3. Communicate effectively and often to ensure efficient information exchange, ideas for improvement, plans for
execution, and challenges are understood as needed. Communication can be verbal but should be documented
in writing.

Risk Management

1. Construct and monitor reliable control systems as needed.


2. Ensure that the company understands and is in a position to comply with all legal, safety, and regulatory
requirements.
3. Understand and support guidelines of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) internally, with third party
vendors and customers.
4. Report any risks in a timely manner to the Executive Management Team

Education and Experience

1. Ten plus years HSE experience in upstream oil and gas in both the Brazilian and the USA offshore market place.
2. Fluent in Portuguese and English, verbal and written.
3. Excellent communication skills across a wide range of personnel and job functions.
4. Excellent organizational skills are a must.
5. Writing skills focused at procedure, best practice and policy development are mandatory.
6. Computer skills and knowledge of windows based office software packages
7. An outgoing personality that fits into a multicultural environment
