Hello, and welcome to Academic Enrichment! The goal of this class is to offer students
the opportunity to receive support in their academic classes. In addition, we will focus
on organization and planning, in order to better prioritize homework and assignments,
as well as self-advocacy skills.

Enrollment in this class is considered a privilege; therefore, all students are expected to
participate on a daily basis. Your grade will heavily determined on this basis.

Supplies
Each day you will need your planner, something to write with, as well as any
assignments that you have for that day. If you have a daily check sheet, you must bring
that also.

Grading
Grading will be on a credit/no credit basis. Students will receive 5 points daily; 2 points
for having their planner completed and 3 points for participation. Please note that based
on the number of students in the class, one-on-one instruction each day is not
feasible; therefore, all students will have to be prepared to work independently at times.
Students WILL have the opportunity for support throughout the week. If a student does
not have any work to complete that day, they are expected to read their independent
reading book for Language Arts class or complete any enrichment activities assigned by
Mr. Hayner.
