1.0 INTRODUCTION

Arvandan Oil and Gas company intends to construct an 8" N.B. buried flowline
from Sohrab WH1 to South Azadegan North Cluster.
Sohrab Field is located at North of Azadegan Field, and 115 Km North West of
Ahwaz right along the international border with Iraq.
The major sections of the project are:
Wellhead facilities (at WH No.1).

8" N.B, 50 Km (Approx.) buried flow line.

Receiving trap facility at South Azadegan North Cluster

2.0 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Owner/Client: Arvandan Oil & Gas Company (AOGC).

EPC Contractor: Shall Mean The Contractor Responsible For Engineering,
Procurement & Construction Of The Project.
Vendor: The manufacturer /manufacturer's representative selected by the
contractor & approved by the client to supply equipment/tools.
Will: Is normally used in connection with the action by the "company" rather
than by a contractor, supplier or vendor.
May: Is used where a provision is completely discretionary.
Should: Is used where a provision is advisory only.
Shall: Is used where a provision is mandatory.

4.0 LINE PIPE MATERIAL SPECIFICATION

The carbon steel line pipe material shall conform to the API 5L Gr. B and
API 5L X52 specification. Pipe wall thickness is calculated in accordance
with ASME B31.3.
5.0 FITTING

Materials of screwed or socket welding forged carbon steel fittings size " to
1" shall conform to BS EN 3799 group WPB material and ASTM A105.
Dimensions shall be according to ASME B16.11 Fittings sizes 2" and above
shall be carbon steel, butt-welding type, dimension and material conformed
to ASME B16.9 and ASTM A234 Gr. WPB or MSS-SP-75 Gr. WPHY-52
respectively. When fittings wall thickness is specified to match pipe fittings
with commercially available wall thickness shall be used.
6.0 FLANGES

Flanged connections shall conform to the following facing type:

Dimensions and material of carbon steel flanges up to class 2500 lb shall

conform to ASME B16.5 and ASTM A105 or ASTM A694 Gr. F-52. For
wellhead facility flanges shall conform to API 6A.
7.0 BOLTS & NUTS

Stud bolts and nuts threads shall be in accordance with ASME B1.1. Bolting
shall meet the specification of ASTM A193 / A193M grade B7M.

Nuts materials shall meet the specifications of ASTM A194 (A 194M)/ grade
2HM
8.0 GASKETS

Non metallic flat gaskets for class 150# shall be used according to ASME
B16.21. For classes 300# & above, spiral wound gasket shall be used
according to API 601. Gaskets shall be asbestos free. Ring joints shall
conform to ASME B16.21 (up to class 900 lb) and API 6A (for wellhead
facilities and flow lines)
9.0 VALVES

Material and dimensions and test requirements of pipeline valves shall

generally conform to API 6A & API 6D section pipe line valves. Forged
carbon steel body shall conform to ASTM A105. Casting type carbon steel
body shall be in accordance with ASTM A216 Gr. WCB. Valve trims shall be
according to ASTM A182 Gr. 316 or ASTM A217 CA15. Reference
standards for different type of valves have been shown in below table:

The end flange of all valves shall be serrated finish conformed to ASME
B16.5 STD, API 6B & API 6A whichever is applicable. The pipe lines which
are to be pigged shall have full bore ball valves.
10.0 THREADS

All threads (screwed) connections shall be in accordance with API 5B.

11.0 HARDNESS

The hardness of all material including welds in sour services shall be limited
to Rockwell C22 maximum based on the requirements of NACE STD MR-
01-75 / ISO 15156.

12.0 BRANCH CONNECTION

Welded branch connection on steel pipes must meet the requirements of

ASME B31.4 and B31.3 Codes respectively. For pipe line to be pigged, tee
or branch with 40% or more of the main line diameter shall be equipped with
scraper guide bars.
13.0 ASSEMBLIES

For detail of assemblies including vent, drain and instrument connections

refer piping standard drawings.
14.0 INSULATION

14.1 Insulation Kits

Insulation kits may be used where the pipeline rises above ground before
above ground anchor support.
14.2 Painting

The external piping surfaces should be protected against corrosion by

applying, protection coating as per Specification for Paint, Color Coding &
Marking "AOGC-036-PI-ESS-002".
