Student Response and Assessment Tools
Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity:

During the activity, students will use their device to access the quiz on Socrative. The quiz will be teacher
paced so that each student is on the same pace. Students will be allowed to take notes on the quiz to study for
the final test. Students will need their device, a pencil, and paper to take notes. After each question of
answered by all students, the teacher will reveal the correct answer and the students will be able to assess
themselves. Questions will be discussed if a large majority of students miss the question or if students have
other questions that are relevant.

Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):

Multiple choice Multiple select True/False Yes/No
Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank Longer open-ended response

Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?

Yes No
Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)

Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
Yes
No
Why or why not? Since this is a review for the test, it is important that students see the correct answers and
have the opportunity to correct their thinking if they need correction.

Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?

After the SRT activity, students will be given a test that has similar questions. This will take place the next day
or the day after.

How will the data be used?

This activity is a review activity, so students will not receive a grade. However, the data will be used to gauge
student understand and prompt discussion. If students are missing a majority of the questions, they will be
taken into a small group and worked with on a more individual level.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.

From this activity, I hope to learn how to adjust my teaching methods on the fly. I know that this technology
will allow me to teach one topic in many different ways so that I can reach each student.
