Lesson Summary:
Students will learn Spanish vocabulary related to clothing, stores, and
etc. Students will also learn various verbs associated with clothing.

Estimated Duration:
This lesson will take about three hours over three class periods.

Commentary:
Before this lesson, students should have learned basic conjugations of
verbs and started learning how to memorize new vocabulary. During this
lesson, students will use current resources to independently explore and
learn new vocabulary related to clothing. After students have done this,
we will rejoin as a class and have a group activity to help students to
continue to learn the vocabulary, but also learn how to speak it.

Instructional Procedures:

Day 1:
Tech Based Activity:

Students will explore the the online store El Corte Ingles to become
familiar with vocabulary words related to clothing. Students will then fill
out a worksheet filling in the answers for vocabulary in Spanish. If
worksheet is not completed in class, this will be their homework.

Tech Based Assessment:

Students will be graded on completion of their worksheet. This will be a

pass/fail grade.

Day 2:

Homework:

At the beginning of class, students will turn in their homework they

completed the day before.

Group Activity:

As a group, students will participate in an activity in which they will

have to identify different articles of clothing and then describe them
using vocabulary words for colors, textiles, and shapes.

Supplemental Activity:

We will play a review game in class to make sure that students know the
information for the quiz.

Day 3:

Students Final Product of Tech Based Assignment:

Students will take a quiz over the material that they have learned over
the past two days. Total time allotted: 30 minutes. After the students are
finished with the quiz, we will start the next lesson.

Pre-Assessment:

Each day students will be challenged in news ways of learning this

lessons vocabulary. Every student will have access to a laptop. They
will also need a copy of the worksheet.

Scoring Guidelines:

Students will receive a pass/fail grade for their worksheet. If they do not
turn in their completed worksheet at the beginning of class they will
receive a zero for the assignment. Students will also be graded on class
participation during the group activity and review game. If students are
not present or fail to participate they will receive a zero for that days
class participation grade.

Post-Assessment:

The final assessment will be taking a quiz that I have created that covers
every topic we learned the days prior. The written assessment has a total
of 15 questions testing similar knowledge.

Scoring Guidelines:

Scoring for the 15 question quiz will be 2 points per questions. Grading
Scale is as follows: Total points possible 30.100-90% A (30-28 points)
