Activity 1. Bring up the Shape it up lesson into the SMART


board. Have all students come to carpet and sit.
2. Teacher and students will do warm up together
using the first, second, and third slides. Teacher will
ask students what shapes they see on the board. Also
discussing the shapes, how many sides each shape
has. (Count out loud with your students)
3. Next the students will be asked to come up in
groups of 3 or 4 and work on the activities that
follow on the next 6 slides. If they have any issues
they are to ask the other students in their group for
help.
(Interactive slide activities are: -Matching shapes, -
Sorting circles and rectangles which will be spit out
if placed in wrong area, -Egg decorating by
matching the shapes, -Sorting triangles and squares
which will be spit out if placed in wrong area, -
Rolling of the dice, children will roll the dice and
call out the shapes they see on the screen as the
closer activity.
4. If there is time left, there is an additional slide for
students to have additional practice (sorting.)
5. Children will be given a trace worksheet to trace
circles, triangles, squares, and rectangles while they
